As many of you may know, there is significant work being undertaken in Monasterevin to return Bell Harbour and the adjacent aqueduct to their former glory.
Kildare Branch has been given a unique opportunity by Waterways Ireland to pay a guided visit to the works and to get a close up view of what is happening.
If you are interested in joining us please gather at 11.00 on Saturday 23rd March in the vicinity of the Lifting Bridge to kick off the tour. It is possible that we will repair afterwards for a coffee or perhaps something stronger.
Note that is a wellies advisory event, as we hope to gain access to the dredged bed of the harbour.
