The spread of invasive species is threatening the future of our canals. With invasive plants flourishing in the waters of the Corbally, Grand, Naas and Royal Canals and the added problem of low water levels, Kildare canals as a boating and fishing tourism destination have not looked good this summer. A solution is required.
