As reported in Kildare Now Dec 3, the former Odlums site, Leinster Mills, Osberstown Lock 2 on the Naas Canal, has been sold to a local businessman.   

‘The property encompasses approximately 2.4 acres of land with over 30,000 sq. ft. of buildings.

The buildings consist of a five-storey corn mill, a three storey refurbished annex and various outbuildings, stables and courtyard sheds providing ample space throughout.

The property is located just south of the M7 and Naas Inner Relief Road on the western bank of the Grand Canal (Corbally Line Greenway) (Ed: Naas Canal and potential Greenway), beside Millennium Park, Kerry Foods, and the new M7 motorway interchange (Junction 9A).

The lands are zoned under the Naas Local Area Plan 2021 -2027 as Objective F which is “to protect and provide for open space, amenity and recreation provision.’
