The Corbally Group welcomes the inclusion of the Corbally Canal in Kildare County Council’s Development Plans for 2023 to 2029.
Over the past eighteen months, the Corbally Group researched the past and the potential future of the Canal.
The group, consisting of a local historian, graphic designer, media professional and members of IWAI Kildare, has interacted with local interested parties. With the support of a Grant from Kildare County Council, they have produced the content for a brochure outlining the history of the Corbally Canal and a visualisation of its future, as a tourism and recreational amenity.
Post Covid, members of IWAI Kildare look forward to bringing their boats to the Naas Canal Festival 2022, in October. The Brochure will be officially launched at this event.
