ITINERARY

Saturday 13th

9 – 9.30 am – Gather, tour of station and launch at the Drogheda Fisherman’s Rescue & Recovery Service Station, Marsh Road Drogheda

11 am  – Head east on the Boyne River out to sea to meet the Clogherhead RNLI Lifeboat

(Approx 12 km) and accompany it along with Drogheda Port Authorities Pilot Boats & River Rescue Boats back to De Lacey bridge in Drogheda Town centre to arrive for high tide at 12.45 p.m.

1.00 pm – Meet Drogheda’s First Citizen, The Lord Mayor and other dignitaries

followed by sponsored lunch in the nearby D Hotel

2.30 pm – Back to boats to accompany the Lifeboat to Clogherhead pier followed by tour of the RNLI Station

4.30 – 5 pm – Depart Clogherhead for Drogheda

8 pm – Dinner in the Boyne Valley Hotel & Country Club. Stameen Dublin Road Drogheda

Followed by sing/song and craic in the bar

11 am – Launch and travel to the Sea lock at Oldbridge to see progress on the IWAI Boyne Navigation Branch Project

Trip on the canal

Tour of the Battle of the Boyne Site

Tea/ Coffee, Homemade scones etc will be available at the lock
