The Grand Canal has 70km of its total 131km in Co Offaly. This unique, tranquil stretch of waterway is very interesting, and filled with Herons and the very colourful Kingfishers. There is a fine harbour for mooring in the centre of Tullamore with plenty of facilities. Tullamore is one of the finest Offaly busy towns that offers lots of restaurant for fine dining and a few shopping centres if your need retail therapy – something for every taste!
