Your logs continue to build up to an impressive table of issues and observations. In May 2025 we shared our current logs with Waterways Ireland. In accordance with good GDPR practice, all of your personal details were removed from the data which ensures your anonymity, and we hope, encourages you the waterway and greenway users to keep on logging issues.

If you have logged before you will know that you can also send us pictures of the issue in question, please just try not to send us large volumes of pics. One or two clear images of the focal point of your log will suffice. In the future we may find a way to incorporate the recording of images within the Nav-Watch Survey form, but for now we will continue with the current system.

If you are interested in coming on-board and helping with management of the data or Facebook, we would love to hear from you. Work loads are small, it’s more about regular contact with users to keep Nav-Watch as current as possible.

The following chart(s) data corresponds with the order of the questions you encounter in the Nav-Watch Survey. There’s a wealth of information here which can only be useful for WI engineers as they plan works. Do send us your feedback as well as your logs, it’s all useful information, e.g. one boater reported back in late May 2025 that issues they had encountered on their outbound journey along the Barrow had almost all been resolved when they returned a couple of months later.
It’s not all doom and gloom out there!
