From Shannon Harbour in County Offaly to the Grand Canal Docks in Dublin
Ruth is walking along the canal towpath stopping overnight at many of the Grand’s old harbours and docks. The Lady Ruth, serving as a Boatel for this journey, awaits Ruth at her scheduled stops at the end of each day. The walk starts on Saturday October 15 and is scheduled to finish on Saturday October 22

Friday October 21 – Walking from Sallins to Lock 12, the second last leg. “Feet are a bit war torn but apart from that all is good. Excitement mounting for last leg, some family will be walking with Ruth today and more meeting up later with grandchildren.” Saturday October 22 – “Last leg of journey – left Lock 12 with family, friends and photographer!” Saturday October 22 15:00 – Ruth arrived in Grand Canal Docks this afternoon, congratulations, what a great achievement!
