WELCOME – FAILTE – WELKOMMEN – BIENVENUE

The Erne system comprises the Upper Lough, the Lower Lough and approximately 12km of river joining the two. It is a paradise for those who enjoy peace and tranquility. This is an environment where the cuckoo calls, the trout leap for joy and heron stand statue like fishing for their next meal. You will find the people of Fermanagh unique, quiet, sincere and unassuming yet will always extend a welcoming hand to any visitor.

In contrast to the lakes, if shopping and entertainment are your forte then the County town of Enniskillen has it all from bustling shopping centres, to specialized shops, to traditional pubs where fine food is served all day with often diverse entertainment at night. If you enjoy theatre then check out whats on at the Ardhowen which you can visit by car or by boat. Other towns with jetties include Belturbet at the Southern end of the Upper Lough, to Kesh and Belleek at the Northern shore of the Lower Lough.
