On Saturday 17th February the branch make a visit to the Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire.
The National Maritime Museum is housed in Dun Laoghaire’s 180-year-old Mariners Church, directly opposite the new DLR Lexicon library.

Arrive at the Museum at 12.15pm for the tour. The tours takes about an hour, followed by soup and sandwich supplied by the museum.

Total cost €10 per adult with reduction for children

How to get there: Information on location can be found here http://www.mariner.ie/visitor-info/

All parking in Dún Laoghaire is pay and display, so public transport, buses and Dart are a good option and also allow for members to partake in a hot toddy if the weather is cold!. The Lexicon library is also worth a visit or go for a walk on the West Pier and buy a Teddies ice cream!

The cheapest parking is on Carlisle Pier at €5.00 for the day.

We need to give the museum final numbers by Tuesday 13th February. If you want to attend and have not already confirmed your attendance, can you contact carrick@iwai.ie to advise on numbers.
