Shannon NavigationWater Supply & Electricity Supply suspension for the winter period
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise its customers that the supply of water to taps on public moorings will be turned off and drained for the winter months. This is to protect against frost damage, to reduce running costs and to minimise maintenance requirements during the winter months.
Waterways Ireland will also be disconnecting its on shore electricity supply points at public moorings for the winter period (November- March).
Disconnection of the Waterways Ireland water supply and electricity facilities will start in the week commencing Monday 4th November 2019.
Both services will be reinstated prior to the commencement of the 2020 boating season. A further advisory Marine Notice will be issued at that time.
