Arthur Keppel ,Barrow branch chairman unveiled a memorial stone in Leighlinbridge
on Sunday 29th of December. The project was organised by the local Leighlinbridge
Improvement Group and was included as part of the National Gathering 2013. The stone is in the Garden of Remembrance on the west bank of the Barrow in Leighlinbridge and is in loving memory of all those who perished in the “Goodly Barrow”. The unveiling ceremony was attended by local clergy and a small group of relatives and friends. It was followed by a tree planting ceremony. The tree was presented to the group by Rachel Doyle of Arboretum Lifestyle and Garden Centre Leighlinbridge.
