The branch hosted its first CIC of 2015 to Shannonbridge on the opening bank holiday in May.

The Commodores role was shared by  Trish and Tony O’ Reilly and they planned a very enjoyable weekend.

Due to the inclement weather, our traditional wine and cheese which normally starts the proceedings and is held near the fleet, had to be brought indoors to the famous ‘den’ in Lukers, but as you can see from the pictures below it was still a great success!

Unfortunately the weather was not all that agreeable so it was either wet gear during the day and indoors for nigh time activities. John Ryan, our host in Luker’s brought us on a very enjoyable tour of the Shannonbridge Fortifications, and it was well attended by many hardy boaters despite the rain!

The weekend was filled with music and song and soon the constant rain was forgotten as our many musicians began to entertain!

Some people even enjoyed afternoon tea. Indeed…
